Wrong message, wrong time: Chinese subway ad suggests riders buy a car
February 15th, 2008
I hold never heard of an ad that promotes buying an automobile without too mentioning a body title and, usually, a prototype like spring. If there were like ads, we puissance expect to see them in car-dependent countries similar the U.S. Instead, an anonymous ad that says, “Squeezed in?! Go and buy a car afterward!” has appeared on Beijing subways, according to Reuters. This message bonny much contradicts functionary policy in the city - the Beijing rule discussed banning cars during this summer’s Olympics, after all - and it’s peeving riders off. Some experts quoted in a Chinese newspaper (and afterward Reuters) think that the ad puissance be designed right to attract eyeballs, not to actually get tribe into automobiles. If so, an updated version accompanying a brand title is credible to follow.
